Whether you are feeling blue, having difficulty with a class or needing some direction, getting help is the smart thing to do. And, the great thing about Southern Adventist University is that assistance is readily available. For instance:

Having a tough time with an academic subject?
Check out the tutoring and academic skills assistance programs at Learning Support Services.

Need to talk with someone about troubles you're going through?
Free, confidential counselors are available at Counseling & Testing Services to help you sort through issues and increase your emotional health.

Need some assistance in choosing a major?
Career Services professionals will help you navigate your resources and coach you through the process.

Have concerns about a learning difference?
Technology and other forms of assistance are available at Disability Support Services to help students with documented disabilities pursue their educational goals.

Worried about attending SAU as an international student?
Transition Services will assist you navigate the rules, regulations and nuances of attending college as an international student.

The Student Success Center is located on the 3rd floor of Lynn Wood Hall.

The staff of professionally trained counselors and advisors are available to provide students with short-term counseling and advising in a supportive, caring, and confidential environment.

The Center provides a variety of support services designed to help students:

  • Achieve a fulfilling and balanced university experience.
  • Make informed choices regarding academic programs and career opportunities.
  • Cope more effectively with personal, emotional and situational barriers to living.
  • Develop dynamic learning strategies to enhance academic success.
  • Develop effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Live life more abundantly and meet its crises more effectively.
  • Appreciate diversity and the ideas of an open democratic global society.
  • Become independent and successful lifelong learners.
